Rick Satink retires from motorcross

Dutchman Rick Satink has announced his retirement from professional racing. Satink finished in third place in the Dutch Masters of Motocross in 2015 and 2016 and scored world championship points on several occasions in the world championship MX2 and MXGP.

The highlight of Satink’s career was the Grand Prix of Lierop in 2014. In that race he was riding aboard a 2-strike Yamaha in the MX1 class and managed to finish inside of the top ten.

Due to some health issues he missed the complete 2018 season and when he tried to come back in the competition in 2019 he injured his shoulder.

Satink will now focus himself on helping young riders to get a higher level!
