Behind the Scenes with Yamaha in Andalusia

“You can look at the situation like it’s a baby,” said Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Team Owner Hans Corvers. “First he needs to crawl, then he needs to walk, and then he runs. Right now, we’re walking.”

While Tim and his teammate Maxime Renaux worked through some challenges, the fastest female rider on the planet, Lotte van Drunen, embraced the challenge of racing against the best 250cc riders in the world. Lining up in MX2 as part of her preparation for the 2026 FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship, which starts in May, the reigning WMX champion went bar-to-bar with the men in #MX2 and managed to score one championship point.

Meanwhile, the MXGP of Andalucía in Almonte, Spain also hosted the opening round of the European Motocross Championships, EMX250 & EMX125. VHR Yamaha Official EMX250 rookie sensation Mano Faure impressed on debut. Having just stepped up from a GYTR kitted YZ125 to a GYTR kitted YZ250F, the young Frenchman surprised with a stellar podium finish.

At the same time, the rider who took Mano’s seat in the MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 team, another young Frenchman, Sleny Goyer, was equally impressive as he went 2-2 for second overall.
